Faith Formation Volunteer Opps

Rotational Sunday School

Shepherds move with a group of children, guiding them to each station. We need 3 shepherds each Sunday. Faith Guides lead the activity stations. We need 3 Faith Guides every Sunday. Give one Sunday or several! It takes all of us working together.

Currently, three adult groups meet on Sunday mornings. The Good Shepherd class is a discussion-based group. The Resurrection class is a study-based group with opportunities for service and fellowship outside of class. The LIFE class is also a discussion-based group and holds a monthly social gathering.

Children in K-4th grade gather in Trinity Chapel for P.O.P. (Praise, Offering, Prayer), then break into groups to “rotate” through various workshops during a 4-week unit that focuses on the same Bible story. Volunteer opportunities are available. See information below.

Faith Formation ministry at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church provides opportunities for people of all ages to engage in learning, service and fellowship. We recognize Faith Formation as a lifelong journey that is different for each individual and strive to provide meaningful activities and experiences that meet many different needs. Our ministry includes Faith Stepping Stones, Bible study groups, Sunday Church School, Confirmation, Vacation Bible School (VBS), and more!

This class is an extension of the 5th gradeFaith Stepping Stone. Children are presented with Bibles in the fall, then learn about their Bibles during the SCS year.

Our Head2Heart Confirmation program includes large and small group study on Sunday mornings. Youth work with mentors and small group leaders. Areas of study include the 10 Commandments, Discipleship & Service, the Apostles' Creed, Sacraments & Worship, the Lord's Prayer, and Lutheran Church History.

The 2017-18 Sunday Church School (SCS) year begins on Sunday, September 10.

All classes begin at 9:45 a.m.

Pre-school children learn about Jesus through a variety of hands-on activities, including story time, songs, crafts, and snack.

Sr. High students come together each Sunday for a cup of coffee and conversation as they encourage one another through study, discussion, and prayer.
