CURRENT EVENTS:

Holy Trinity Youth are sponsoring and supporting a seminarian from the Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in Columbia, SC through the Seminarian Partnership Program. Meet Ginger Litman-Koon, a fourth-year student at Southern, and our seminarian! She will be joining us in the Spring to play with and preach to our congregation. If you would like to support her in any way - give a love offering, send her an encouraging note or just introduce yourself - please contact Sarah for more information.

Youth Sunday

Youth Sunday is March 11! That Sunday we'll be focusing on Christ as our center and delving into what it means to "LIVE FAITHFULLY AND ACT COURAGEOUSLY." Youth, please keep an eye on the blog and Facebook for more information about practice dates, t-shirt tie-dying, etc. Everyone should plan on joining us for the combined morning service at 10:00 a.m. and for the "Nawlins" themed lunch afterward to support the ELCA Youth Gathering and Youth & Family Ministry.

The fundraising campaign for the National Youth Gathering (in New Orleans this summer) will begin on Sunday, March 4 and will continue through Easter Sunday, April 15. Look for the purple envelopes and watch for more information in The Weekly!

Middle School Youth: Grades 6-8

Sunday Mornings: Head2Heart

During the school year, all Middle School students are invited to participate in Holy Trinity's Confirmation Program.  Sunday morning learning time for these students is presented in large group format by one of our Pastors or our Education or Youth Minister. Youth also meet in small groups, each with two caring adult leaders. In addition, opportunities for fellowship, service, and an Adult Mentor Program provide a strong faith foundation for these students, which prepares them to affirm their Baptism at the completion of their studies.  This group meets in Community Room A & B from 9:45-10:45 a.m.

Wednesday Evenings: MidBEGINNINGdleMid(beginning)dle

MidBEGINNINGdle (Beginning in the Middle) is a meeting just for middle-schoolers. It’s a break half-way through the school week to unwind, play together and pray together. Sometimes we all feel like we’re “stuck in the middle.” That is exactly where we’ll begin…in the middle…mid-week, in the midst of our struggles, mess-ups, celebrations and joys…in the middle of it all. Middle schoolers, come join us! We’ll meet for a meal at 6:00pm in the Fellowship Hall and journey to the Youth Center afterward until 7:15pm for activities. (Cost for dinner is $2.50 (small) or $4 (large).

Senior High Youth: Grades 9-12

Sunday Mornings

CoffeeDuring the school year, Sr. High Youth come together each Sunday morning, not only for fresh doughnuts and Starbucks coffee, but also to encourage and support one another through conversation, learning and prayer. Discussions, facilitated by our excellent adult leaders, enable these teens to "walk the talk" in their everyday lives. These conversations take place in the Youth Center from 9:45-10:45 a.m.

Sunday Evenings: IMPACT

Sr. High Youth meet regularly on Sunday evenings for devotions, conversation and games. You'll never know what to expect on Sunday evenings --silly or serious conversation, an outing somewhere in the community just-for-kicks, or a Servant Event (service projects, both large and small). High Impact isn't just about the impact the church has on youth --it's about having a High Impact on one another because of the High Impact God's love has on our lives. Come experience the impact with us! Sundays, 6:00-7:30 (parent provided meals are served from 6:00-6:30 p.m.).

Assisting Ministers

Sr. High Youth are selected annually to be trained to assist in worship leadership.  Interested youth should contact Pastor Trexler, 322-2536.
