Jo Carol Thomason oversees Holy Trinity’s Music Ministry and participates actively in worship planning. She also directs a graded handbell program, including elementary, middle and senior high youth, adults, and an advanced ensemble –Chapel Ringers –which offers community outreach programs as well as music for Holy Trinity’s worship services.

She began directing several handbell choirs at Holy Trinity in 1990 as a volunteer, and in 1997 she joined the church staff as director of all handbell choirs. A graduate of UNC-Greensboro with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education, her major instrument was piano and her minor was trombone. She attends numerous handbell workshops each year and is an active handbell clinician in the area. She is currently directing the Lenoir-Rhyne University Handbell Choir and has been a clinician for Music Week at Lutheridge. She is also a private piano instructor. Jo Carol, husband Scott, and adult daughter Elizabeth are all Holy Trinity members.
